The fishing on the South Fork of Bishop Creek has remained solid despite the lack of DFG stocking this week. Some of the rainbows from the Alpers plant on July 6th were also hanging around and provided some real excitement for some lucky stream anglers. Salmon Eggs, Nightcrawlers and Powerbait in various colors were all working well but the lure bite slowed down a bit this week. The South Fork is due for another Alpers plant on Friday July 20th and hopefully a big DFG stocking this coming week.

South Lake anglers saw a slight decrease in fish counts this week due to a no-show by the DFG stocking truck but the Alpers Rainbows and Browns still came to play. Thankfully there are also quite a few pan-sized holdover rainbows left to fill folks' stringers.
