Here it is October and, as usual, things are changing with the colder Fall / winter weather. It has been getting down into the mid to low 20's just before sunrise but into the Mid 50's by 10:00.?? We have even had a couple of snow days already. Hopefully we will have a "normal" winter this year. The water levels are still surprisingly good, all things considered. The Trico hatch is still getting going around 9:30, although it seems that it is almost over. You will see??a few??#22 Trico spinners??fall at around 10:00 and the fish will key on them as long as they last. The Caddis migration is still pretty good and is starting at around 9:30 and you will see them throughout the day, sizes #18-22.

We are starting to see really good Beatis (BWO) hatches #'s 18-22 especially if there is any cloud cover. Look for the??them anywhere from??10 on.?? The Caddis hatch has still been??good in the afternoon , depending on the wind. The fish will change what they are feeding on as quickly as the hatch changes, so be ready to change your fly. The fish are getting a lot wiser as we are getting into the??final part of our season. There are still plenty of quality fish on the ranch, they are just getting a little tougher to catch. Practice up on your "getting the fish out of the weeds" skills. We have all of the flies that you will need in our fly shop as well as fishing shirts, fly lines, leaders, nets, tippet and most anything else that you might need. Don't forget about our November rod fee fishing, it can be unbelievable! The fishing is still good and we can't wait to see you here at the ranch!

Can you believe that it is September already? Well, very little has changed since the last report although we are just starting to feel a little fall in the air. The water levels are still surprisingly good considering the extremely light winter last year. Things have been getting started around 7:30 A.M. with a #22-24 female Trico hatch. There have been good solid hatches most every day, depending on where on the stream you are. You will see the #22...... Read More
