The West has shaped up nicely and is fishing well these days. Bait anglers are using salmon eggs and crawlers, lure anglers are doing the best in the mornings and evenings with blue fox lures, panther martins and rooster tails. Fly anglers are doing well with hopper/dropper rigs as well as nymphing and straight dry fly fishing. Patterns to try: para hopper, dave’s hopper, stimulator, elk hair caddis, copper John, prince nymph, pheasant tail, soft hackle.
