The CDFW has planted the river with catchable rainbow trout. Alpine County fish and Game has just planted 1800 lbs of rainbow trout. Chris and Brittany McRae from Gardnerville NV fished last week with their daughters Madeline and Emily. They caught some nice rainbows ranging from 2 to 4 lbs. The river has calmed down to 500 CFS and has cleared a bit. The resort is open for tent and RV camping. For more information, stop by the Carson River Resort.
Good luck on your next fishing adventure. If you have a question. a report in our local fishing area or have a photo of your catch, send it to [email protected]. Hope to see you on the waters. Good fishin' and tight lines.
