These two lures performed very well for us. For lure selection – whether trolling, casting, or jigging – realize the resident forage fish are flashy. I believe your presentation should also produce flash, especially in relatively low visibility water.

The birds are your guide. Once you locate a group of birds, don’t motor in hot, rather ease in and scout the area for baitfish. The trout shouldn't be very far away.

I got lucky with big fish, a 7.2 pound brown...fooled by a Rapala jig made for hard water (ice) fishing. Don't scoff at jigging.

Cohort Eric Bettencourt had a good day, landing trout of 5.1, 5.4, and 5.6 pounds. Eric and Kevin caught many smaller trout but Eric certainly drew lucky spot on the boat.
