Another all year fishery, the Gorge, requires a short walk but can provide good fishing. The flow is controlled at 36 cfs. Nice fish can be taken on both dries and nymphs. Pattern doesn't seem to be critical; use 16's and 18's. Fish are spooky; stealth and cunning pay off. Nettles can be a problem. It is very warm in the canyon this time of year. Take plenty of water with you and use your sun block. Be aware that the snakes are out. This area should be getting much better with the cooling weather.
