DFG stocked on Monday twice, one load of 800 pounds of catchable and another load of some larger 1 to 2 pounders. We easily saw 30 plus fish brought in weighing between 1 to 2 pounds and several 3 plus. In fact, another "Trout Law" fish was brought in this week, courtesy of Patrick Mann, Pictured above who drug in Toothless Tyler weighing in at a whopping 6 pound 13 ounces. There is still one more of the "Trout Law" gang still on the loose in Silver Lake. "Possum Carl" is still hiding out in the deep waters of the lake. Catch him and you can still win some great prizes thanks to The Eastern Sierra Fishing Coalition.

Out on the lake this week, anglers have seen good results both from shore and a boat using a variety of different baits and lures. Thomas Buoyant in a Gold/Red Pattern, Pink and Orange have done well, as has Kastmasters and Berkeley Mice Tails. From a bait standpoint, Salmon Peach, Salmon Egg Red and Garlic Power Baits have produced a number of nice pound plus rainbows, as have Nightcrawlers. Grey hackle Peacocks, Sierra Bright Dots and Mosquitos has seen some good action in the fly category as has Olive Matukas and Green Wooly Buggers as streamers. Look for fishing to continue to be productive as we continue to get a steady stream of DFG plants and an Alper's load in the near future.

Fish Of The Week:
Rick and Hayley Boomhower, Photo #1 each landed some beautiful Rainbows with Hayley's weighing 1 pound 9 ounces and Rick's coming in at a nice 3 pounds even. Both were caught on Night Crawlers.

Jason Gregory, of Seal Beach caught a nice 2 pound 11 ounce Rainbow from a boat on Silver Lake using an Olive Streamer

Mike Barnett, Photo #2 of Glendora caught an amazing 3 pound 8 ounce Rainbow from shore using Berkley Power Nuggets.

Chris Giampietro, Photo #3 of Palmdale landed a great 5 pound 3 ounce Rainbow from the shore. "Happy fathers Day"

Patrick Mann of June Lake had the catch of the week, when he hauled in "Toothless Tyler" of the Trout Law gang weighing in at a whopping 6 pounds 13 ounces. Pat nabbed "Toothless Tyler" using a Thomas Buoyant from his boat.

Silver Lake Resort will be holding its annual Fourth Of July Weekend Festivities with live music by "GOOD LIVIN" on Friday July 5th and our Horseshoe Tournament and BBQ on Saturday July 6th.
