I can't remember the last time I saw so many good looking stringers come out of Silver Lake. Over the last few days the fish have settled down from the early weeks stocking and have been bitting like crazy. We have seen roughly twenty to thirty one plus pounders come in and close to a dozen two plus pounders. The Water levels have increased by over a foot over the past week as well, dumping in a little cooler water which has helped with the fishing. Salmon Egg Red, Garlic or Gulp Alive Red Worms have been producing some nice looking stringers from both the shore and a boat. Throwing a Gold/Red Thomas Buoyant or a Rainbow Kastmaster has also shown some nice results. Some dry flies like a Ginger Quill or Light Cahill also showed some great results this week. Fishing has been nothing short of spectacular over the past week and we expect it to continue with the weekly 900 pounds of DFG fish and an occasional Alper's load being dumped into the lake.
