Crowley Lake:?? Strong winds, rain and snow. Limited??fishing opportunities on the lake last week. During the calmer periods Sandy Point and Mc Gee Bay produced some nice fish. Try??Steveie's Wonder Blk / Slvr and Stevie's "Z"??in 12-15 feet of water.
Hot Creek: Water flow is 21cfs.??The raise in water flow has improved fishing here with nymphing the most productive technique. Try small brassies, scud's, baetis nymphs and pheasant tails. Also a larger dry fly like a stimulator with a zebra midge or emerger trailer is a good choice.
Upper Owens River: Water flow about 113cfs. Fishing is improving. Some larger spawning fish??still present but the spwan is winding down. San Juan worms,glo-bugs, pheasant tails and hares ears. Some surface action with BWO'S mid-day. Caddis in the afternoon.
Lower Owens River: Water flow is currently??206cfs. Fishing has been very good and crowds are light. Nymphing with Barr's emerger, WD-40, olive hares ears and micro mayfly's. Some good dry fly action in the late afernoon'swith elk hair caddisadn e/c caddis.
Mammoth Lakes Basin:??Twin Lakes is ice free. The road to the upper lakes is still closed. Black or olive Doc's Twin Lake's Special.
