First report of 2025 on the Truckee River. Been doing this blog since about 2007? I don't know where all the years have gone. 

The Truckee River is in great shape, mid-Winter. Pretty much snow free all up and down the river. We've had a lot of warm storms, as it's only been snowing high, not river level. 

Same old same, nymph 'em, streamer fish 'em on the overcast days. 

Frog water is your friend. 

We are getting close to the dry fly time on the Truckee River down in Nevada. Maybe one more week. The whole river can go off down there. 

So probably clear and cold at night, warm in the afternoons for now until we get some storms again.
