Despite the cold and blustery weather up at June Lake last week I was able to land some good quality trout trolling.  Trolling Mook and Thomas Buoyant lures at at a depth of 30’ to 35’, (6-7 colors of lead core line), in 50’-100’ water column I landed and released numerous Rainbow Trout and three quality Cutthroat Trout all weighing around 2-3 pounds. Nice cutthroat in phot below. I had never realized how strong and how much of a fight the Cutthroat Trout put up!  Definitely an excellent trip considering the weather.
