The river is flowing a little low in places, but very fishable. Renee and I camped at the Carson River Resort recently. Each day I fished, I caught fish. I talked with a few anglers that fished higher upstream. They were using nightcrawlers and caught a few nice 2 to 3 lb rainbows. Alpine County is planning to stock once more before the season changes in November. The Carson River Resort is open all year for camping as well as cabin rentals.
