The lake is planted a few times a year by the CDFW with catchable rainbows.They have a primitive camp area with many hiking trails.

Markleeville Creek: The river is running perfectly and clear
Silver Creek : The water is low but very fishable
Highland Lakes: The road is open to both lakes
