Good morning all. Well, it's been a hectic few weeks at SLR trying to stand the place back up and get operational. Murphy's Law tends to lurk hard up in the pass, and this period has been no exception. Hats off to Seth Z. and crew for their hard work and dogged determination.
The WATER TAXI IS NOW OPEN. However, our primary boat is down with mechanical issues, so we're running a bit smaller and much slower boat for the time being. But hey, sitting back and enjoying a more leisurely-paced cruise across the lake isn't so bad.
Current WATER TAXI operating hours and rates:
First Taxi out: 9:00AM
Last Return Pickup: 5:30PM
Lunch break from: 12:30-1:30 (may vary somewhat)
Adults: Round Trip - $22 / One Way - $16
Kids 4-12: Round Trip - $18 / One Way - $13
Kids 3 Years Old and Under Free
Dogs: $10 (Flat)
Large Backpacks: $7
10% Military Discount
*Cash only for the moment. Credit card functionality coming very soon. We may not be able to break large bills, so please plan accordingly.
All rides provided on a first come first served basis. Due to radically escalated operational costs and the slower boat (for now), we can't run minimally-loaded Taxis and will generally wait until we have 6 people before departing. Please be patient.
Hours may be adjusted slightly going forward.
The lake is full of water and recently stocked + the heat is on = I can't think of a better place to be right now than SLR and the surrounding Yosemite High Country. Come get some.
Jon boat rentals are also on. Rates:
2hr - $45
4hr - $75
Full day - $115
All watercraft MUST be returned by 6:30PM.
