The Lake is still quite frozen and it isn’t improving quickly enough, & unfortunately there isn’t anything else we can do to help it along at this point. It is safe to expect delays on opening of at least a week.
We can not give exact dates or information, and we are sorry about that. This is an unprecedented situation, and we just have to be ready to work. We will take things day by day, if the lake thaws, we will open, but we can’t say when that will be. Our RV Park, cabins, store, and gate will all be ready for business by April 29th.
Boat Rentals – Will not be ready by opening day. As soon as that lake thaws out, we will immediately start to install the Rental Dock and Boats. We can expect delays on opening and having those available. If you have not called to cancel or reschedule yet, we will be reaching out to everyone.
Camping - When the lake thaws out, we will allow for shoreline camping at the South Landing if possible. The North Landing, Green Banks, Chalk Bluffs will not be accessible at all unless you have a snow machine. Beaver Cove and Whiskey Bay camp still have a few feet of snow as well.
Docks - We will not have the time to safely complete our private dock installation. We are going to work through calling everyone that has current opener dock reservations, & you may either reschedule this season, or we will cancel your reservation and give you a full refund. You may also email your requests to [email protected].
Storage - Please have a back-up plan for a least a week. We have plowed a road through the storage yard but it needs more time to melt out.
We are going to continue our battle and work to open. Temps in the 50's and rising all week!
Please email or call if you need help with an existing reservation.
