The Virginias are still producing some good fish, there’s a lot of traffic up there but the anglers fishing from float tubes and kayaks are doing pretty well. It’s a little tougher from the shore but there are some fishing being caught that way too. Bait anglers are using power bait, pinched crawlers and mice tails, lure anglers are using Kastmasters, Thomas Bouyants and mini jigs. Fly anglers are using mini leeches, wooly buggers and soft hackles.
