Like the other lakes in the area some anglers have struggled to get hooked up at the Virginias. As always though, there are some anglers who have had success. The most successful anglers have been reporting some good fish in the 3 to 6 pound range and that they have done the best by getting away from the shore in tubes or kayaks or row boats. Mini jigs have produced some fish for lure anglers, as well as Thomas Bouyants and Jakes Spin A Lures. Bait anglers have had some success with mice tails, pinched crawlers and inflated crawlers. Fly anglers can go with Twin Lakes Specials, seal buggers, soft hackles, beetles and ants.
