Traffic Advisory: The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close State Route 4 beginning Tuesday, June 16, 2020, to Wednesday, June 17, 2020, from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day for paving to repair a failing section of roadway near Kinney Reservoir
The full closure will be in effect from the summit of Ebbetts Pass to the Silver Creek Campground. Silver Creek Campground will remain open and accessible from the east side of the route.

A full closure of the route is required as this segment of the route is too narrow to accommodate autos while the work is underway.
There is no local detour available. Motorists should plan to use Route 88 or Route 108 as alternate routes.
