Lower Owens 1/19/2020 Flows at 149cfs - Water is very clear.
Rod Size: #3-#5 Weights
Tippet Size: 4-5X
Dry Flies: Extended Body BWO #16, Griffiths Gnat #18, Parachute Adams #18
Nymphs: Bird's Nest Olive #16-18, Micromayfly Olive #18, Copper Zebra Midge #18, T-Midge Black #18, Tiny Tailwater Baetis #18, Pocket Water Baetis #18, Hogan's S&M Nymph #16
Streamers:
Flows are stable, and the water is very clear. Can see straight to the bottom of some spots that are nearing 8ft deep. Solid BWO hatches are now happening almost daily around 11:30 and run to almost 1 now. Amazing what a couple of weeks will do. Fish are still feeding primarily sub surface, but if you spot a fish feeding on top a size 16 parachute adams will get the job done if the drift is decent. Otherwise dark olive colored mayfly nymphs will work before and after the hatch.
