Creek fishing stayed hot this week following yet another plant of Alpers trophy rainbows. Big fish out of the creek this week was a 4lb 12oz toad pulled from the South Fork on Salmon Eggs by Kaj Johnson of Atascadero, CA. In addition to the big boys, a lot of quality fish in the 1lb to 2lb class were seen around the fish cleaning station at Parchers. The new orange Gulp Trout Worms were absolutely killing it near Willow Campground this week. I myself nailed about a dozen fish to 2lbs in an hour using the Gulp Trout Worms in Orange and Orange 1/32oz mini-jigs.

Weir Pond is white hot after DFG and Alpers plants this week. Jigs, Powerworms and salmon eggs are best.

Adopt-A-Creek in partnership with the Piute Palace Casino are still stocking Alpers with bright orange tags worth $25-$100 in casino credits. Five of these tagged fish will be put in the creeks, North Lake & Intake II each week!

Chunky Cheese PB and Nightcrawlers are...... Read More
