We haven’t heard much from the West this week but the flows up there have come down significantly and I expect to be hearing some good reports from there this coming week. The water clarity isn’t quite gin clear yet but it’s getting close! Panther martins, rooster tails and thomas bouyants all have good reputations on the West as well as salmon eggs and night crawlers. Fly anglers probably aren’t quite ready for the hopper/dropper program but nymphing with a prince nymph, pheasant tail or copper john should put a bend in your rod.
