Well we received some help in the fishing department this week with a huge load of Alper's Trout being dumped in on Thursday and it has paid off. We have had a number of 2 and 3 pound rainbows come in over the weekend just in time for Labor Day Weekend next week. DFG also dropped in their weekly load of 900 pounds of catchables into the lake on Wednesday. So, while the weather is still hot and the fish are deep in the cooler water, there are still plenty of fish to be caught and plenty of great pictures to be taken. With the water temperature at the surface around 52 degrees try taking your baits deep in the water using some Salmon Peach, Garlic, or Rainbow Power Bait and some of the new YUM baits have also been doing well. Worms and lures have been also been doing well in the Lake and in Rush Creek. Also on Rush and Silver, Thomas Buoyants have been knocking them dead.

This weeks "Fish of the Week" belong to young Casey Bouma of Artesia who landed a great looking 2 pound 8 ounce Rainbow on Silver Lake using Rainbow Power Bait. Rob Vegter of Escondido caught a 2 pound 12 ounce Rainbow on Silver Lake using Rainbow Power Bait. Mike Jansen of Huntington Beach landed a great 2 pound 1 ounce rainbow and a 2 pound 6 ounce both from the shore of Silver Lake using Power Bait. Stringer of the week goes to Jeff, Alex, Shari and Family.
