The fishing really took off this week with huge schools of rainbows cruising around the inlets. Mini-jigs, Gold Thomas Bouyants, and pink Gulp! worms were the most consistent producers for big numbers of fish. Big fish of the week was a 4 lbs. 12 oz. beauty caught by Tim Carnahan of Rancho Mirage, CA on a grasshopper mini-jig. Oddly enough the Rock Slide is still a little on the slow side, which is very uncommon for the fall. Boiler Cove or the Dam are best for shore anglers and the Chunky Cheese Gulp or inflated crawlers.
