Another week of mixed weather kept anglers guessing as we saw calm days with snow flurries, warm days with sunny skies, and a few days mid week that were cold and windy. The weather did straighten out just in time for the weekend though so a lot of folks were able to get out there and fish. Thankfully, Trout don't care as much about the weather as people so regardless of the conditions, fishing remained excellent for those that went out. Lots and lots of fish are stacked up at the inlets so finding the fish isn't too hard. The majority of the bait-caught fish are falling for nightcrawlers, Chunky Cheese Gulp, Salmon Peach PB and salmon eggs. With the cooler temps the fish are biting all day long, good new for those folks that aren't hip on waking up at the crack of dawn.

Plastic baits and Olive Wooly Buggers were producing great at the rock slide this week. Berkeley's Rainbow Sparkle atomic tubes, Mocha/Natural Stingers, and "Old Trusty" Orange Powerworms were all top pics for those that like to throw plastics. Streamers stripped along the rocks or surface trolled accounted for some really nice fish this week. The Alpers from the last stocking are finally starting to show with some really beautiful fish in the 3 to 4lb class hitting the scales including a holdover from the June 2009 Summer Classic Derby.
